Bluestone Environmental Group, Inc. (Bluestone) is an 8(a)-certified small woman-owned business specializing in environmental consulting, environmental risk assessments, and engineering services. Bluestone is certified by the United States (U.S.) Women’s Chamber of Commerce as an Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). Bluestone is a U.S. owned company.

Bluestone’s owner and president, Lisa Myers, PE, conducted business as a sole proprietor serving both the public and private sectors beginning in 2002. Bluestone was incorporated in 2010 in Pennsylvania. On 1 January 2019 Bluestone acquired Avatar Environmental, LLC (Avatar), who has provided environmental consulting services since 1999. The merging of resources of the two companies offers additional depth and breadth to our Clients. Since inception, Bluestone has designed and directed over 350 environmental projects for more than 100 clients. Recognized as one of the nation’s leading environmental risk assessment (human health and ecological) firms, Bluestone also provides subject matter experts in a wide range of services including regulatory compliance and permitting, multi-media environmental investigations, ecological and human health risk assessments, feasibility studies, decision documents, remedial oversight, long-term monitoring, NEPA compliance, and training and outreach programs.

Bluestone employs over 60 people located in our offices: Malvern, PA; Devens, Hingham and Natick MA; Aberdeen, MD. We are a small business under multiple NAICS codes; 541330, 541620 and 562910.

Bluestone provides consulting services as a prime contractor on multiple federal government contracts and as a subcontractor to other federal government contractors.  Bluestone is registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and maintains updated Representations and Certifications in the SAM system.

By combining staff that specialize in various environmental service lines, we are able to offer “outside the box” ideas to customize solutions for our Clients.
